Chinese New Year – Goat / Sheep

The 19th Feb 2015 is Chinese New Year, when we enter the Year of The Goat (Also sometimes called The Year Of The Sheep)

According to the Chinese Zodiac, Goats/Sheep are know for being on the whole contented and peaceful, so this year should be easier and calmer than the preceding horse year of 2014.

On the world stage, this should manifest as more flexible relationships, with reconciliation and peace, and a good time for diplomacy. There will be problems, and setbacks, but this is a good year for overcoming difficulties.

It should also be a good year for trade and jobs, and business ventures should do well.

The goat’s caring, considerate nature will mean that there is a focus on environmental and humanitarian issues. Charities should be able to do good work.

The creativity of the Goat will show in all kinds of fashion, arts, self-expression and style. Goat years are said to be great years for artists of all kinds.

Finally, Goat years should be good for family life, with new bonds forming, and existing relationships deepening.

Horse years, like 2014, are supposed to be dynamic and tumultuous, and I think that last year met that brief! So let’s hope for a more settled Goat year to come, and I wish you Gong Xi Fa Cai! (Prosperity to you in the coming year!)
